John and Stella Dumitriu immigrated to the Bay Area from Romania where they found success in life and created a generous scholarship to students. The Dumitriu family entrusted the Martins Foundation to administer the scholarships as our mission is closely aligned. The Dumitriu Scholarship will kick off with two scholarships to Chabot College students in 2022 and we will always keep an eye out for Romanian students in the future to assist through their studies.

Curbie is the Bookmobile for the City of Hayward's Library. Donated and dedicated in the Fall of 2021 by the Martins Foundation it serves hundreds of residents each month.
Drawing on the extensive collection of new and slightly used women's clothing, the Martins Foundation outfits local residents with warm coats and professional attire.
UCSF Dermatology Department is a leading source of research and treatment for cancer, grafting, and other related procedures. The Martins Foundation is proudly donating and dedicating a new laser in 2022 to help continue their cutting edge work.
Each year we select 5 students and 2 Faculty members from those that excel in their work and grant them a generous award to keep them moving forward.
In the Spring of 2022 the City of Hayward Library requested the funds to put together two new projects, a board game lending center as well as a music and video editing and creation center. The Martins Foundation was able to provide both to the Library with the help of Edward Martins personal donations. The goal of the library is to provide a state of the art music center where individuals will be able to create studio grade digital music, edit existing music, as well as create and edit music videos. The board game center will have a range of competitive and family games.
Coming 2023 a new technology based Computer Mobile will be delivered to the Hayward Library curtesy of the Martins Foundation in conjunction with Edward Martins. Moby Tech will provide computer access, mobile hotspot, and computer assistance throughout the City of Hayward.
Coming 2023 a new technology device will be delivered to UCSF that will enable the Dermatology department and the Oncology department to combine forces to explore the potential of future cancer research and treatments.
We are always interested in hearing from local residents about needs of the area. Contact us with your ideas!
